Processed data
Browsing the website
Each time you access content on this website, data that may allow identification is temporarily stored. The following data is collected:
- Date and time of access
- IP address
- The page from which you reached this website
- Pages visited on this website
- Browser type and version
This data is processed to ensure the secure operation of the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Our legitimate interest is providing a secure, reliable, and abuse-resistant website.
The data is deleted as soon as it is no longer required for operation. All data is deleted within 24 hours.
The website is hosted in data centres operated by Hetzner Online GmbH. The hosting provider receives the above data as a processor.
Your browser provides this data automatically when you access the website. Without this technical data, the website cannot be delivered securely and reliably.
Cookies and analytics
This website does not use cookies, analytics tools, or tracking pixels. There is no profiling of visitors.
Email newsletter
If you choose to subscribe to the email newsletter, the time of registration and your email address are stored. In addition, the date of your explicit consent (double opt-in) is recorded.
This data is processed on the basis of your consent in order to send the newsletter and record that consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
You may withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future, for example by using the unsubscribe option in a newsletter email or by contacting us. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before withdrawal.
Newsletter data is deleted when it is no longer needed for sending the newsletter or when you withdraw your consent. Records required to prove consent may be retained for up to three years after the end of the calendar year in which you unsubscribe, based on our legitimate interest in defending against legal claims (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Providing your email address is voluntary. Without it, you cannot subscribe to the newsletter.
Email delivery is handled by the external provider mailbox.org, operated by Heinlein Hosting GmbH. The provider receives the email address you provided, as well as all other email content, as a processor.
Contact by email
If you contact us by email, we process your email address, the content of your message, technical email metadata, and any other information you provide. This data is processed to handle your request and communicate with you.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is responding to enquiries. If your message relates to steps before entering into a contract or to an existing contract, the legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
Contact emails are deleted when the request has been resolved and no legal retention obligations or legitimate interests require further storage.
Email hosting is handled by mailbox.org, operated by Heinlein Hosting GmbH, as a processor.
Providing this data is voluntary. Without an email address or another return contact method, we may not be able to respond.
Recipients and transfers
Personal data is shared with processors only where this is necessary to operate the website, deliver emails, or handle enquiries. The current processors named in this notice are Hetzner Online GmbH for hosting and Heinlein Hosting GmbH for mailbox.org email services.
We do not intend to transfer personal data to recipients in countries outside the European Union or the European Economic Area, or to international organisations.
Automated decision-making
We do not use automated decision-making, including profiling, within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR.
Your rights
Right of access
You may request information about your personal data that we process in accordance with Art. 15 GDPR.
Right to object
You have the right to object on grounds relating to your particular situation (see "Right to object under Art. 21(1) GDPR" below).
Right to rectification
If the data concerning you is inaccurate, you may request rectification under Art. 16 GDPR. If your data is incomplete, you may request that it be completed.
Right to erasure
You may request the erasure of your personal data under Art. 17 GDPR.
Right to restriction of processing
You have the right to request restriction of the processing of your personal data under Art. 18 GDPR.
Right to lodge a complaint
If you believe that the processing of your personal data violates data protection law, you have the right under Art. 77(1) GDPR to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority of your choice.
Right to data portability
Where the conditions of Art. 20(1) GDPR are met, you have the right to receive personal data that we process automatically on the basis of your consent or in performance of a contract, and to have it transferred to a third party. The collection of data for providing the website and the storage of log files are essential to operating the website. They are therefore not based on consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR or on a contract under Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, but are justified under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Accordingly, the conditions of Art. 20(1) GDPR are not met in this regard.
Right to object under Art. 21(1) GDPR
You have the right, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to object at any time to the processing of your personal data carried out on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The controller will then no longer process the personal data unless there are compelling legitimate grounds for the processing that override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims. The collection of data for providing the website and the storage of log files are essential to operating the website.
Right to withdraw consent
Where processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time with effect for the future. The lawfulness of processing based on consent before withdrawal remains unaffected.
